This type often runs along the front of the home and is elevated or resting on support posts. They often incorporate white lattice work beneath the porch floor to provide an elegant polished look.

Similar to an elevated style however, they may include a single step as opposed to a full set of stairs.
Wraparound Farmers Porch
Wraparound farmers porches are exactly that: They wrap around the front of the structure. Rather than running along only the front of the home, these porches wrap round either one or two sides of the house. They can be elevated or ground-level porches.
Southern-Style Farmers Porches
These are often stacked and elaborate. They are often supported by decorative colonades (or large columns) as opposed to the thinner, less intricate supports seen in the north.
