Closets come in all shapes and sizes, but they all have one thing in common: they are never big enough! No matter the size of the closet we inevitably end up filling every square inch with stuff. So what is one to do? Downsize? Maybe do some serious Spring cleaning?

Perhaps you’re not ready to downsize your stuff, after all you very well might wear that sweater again…someday. So what is a person to do? All this clutter and disorganization is frustrating.

The best solution: add custom storage to maximize the space and keep things easily accessible. This can be especially useful in older homes which may have unique closet layouts. Planning is essential. Consider what items you will store in the closet, remember to measure the length or dresses, skirts and shirts that you will hang. Plan to put frequently used items on lower open shelves, and store less used items up higher.
